Sharpless 308

This image of Sharpless 308 won first place in the Deep Sky Category of the annual Winter Star Party imaging contest.

The bubble is mostly OIII data blown out by a Wolf-Rayete star in the center. It is approximately 5,200 light years from earth in the constellation Canis Major.
