Simeis 147

This very large supernova remenant is sometimes called the Spaghetti nebula, but astrophotographers and astronomers know it lovingly as Simeis 147 (yes, we are nerds). I do mean large too, it is over 6 full moon widths in diameter, but it is very faint. This image is taken in the hydrogen wavelength only, which is why it is monochrome (black and white).
